Gouache Painting with Mixed Media
As a fun start to 2025 I would like to propose a new workshop where you will be making a gouache and mixed media still-life painting on watercolour paper.
You do not need to have a drawing or painting background but must have an interest and love for art. For this project I would like to suggest we stylise the pieces by making them quirky shapes or even unexpected scale. I will of course still want shading which will make them stand out and make them appear more realistic. I will guide you through this.
Stylising works was a no-no at art school but it works perfectly and is very freeing for this particular project.
E.g. you will see my sample piece has flat planes, not too many curves and scale is out for sure. The bottom painting was made in a workshop by Rochelle.

I am only having 3 to 4 people per workshop so currently I have Thursday 16th Jan 2-5pm available (Done) newest class on offer is 24th January 2-5pm. Private classes are available if you would like to book.
